Grammy Award winner, Burna Boy has expressed regret for not speaking with Sound Sultan before his death.

Recall that Sound Sultan, whose real name was Olanrewaju Fasasi, died of throat cancer on July 11, 2021.

On the first anniversary of his demise on Monday, many Nigerians took to social media to pay tributes.

Taking to the last track of his wave-making new album, “Love, Damini”, Burna Boy said he should spoken with the Naija Ninja.

He equally expressed regret for not speaking with his late grandfather, Benson Idonije, who was Fela’s manager, until it was too late.

He sang, “I should have talked to grandaddy before it’s too late.

“I should have talked to Sound Sultan more before he died. I should show people more love while they are still alive.

“I should always know the way my people feel inside.

“I’m trying to be a better man, I’ve been trying, I got it all but I still got my anger.”
