Burna Boy Says Resilience Has Kept Him Going Despite Challenges

Grammy-winning Nigerian superstar, Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, has revealed that his continued presence and success in the music industry is the result of sheer resilience and an unyielding spirit.
Speaking in an interview with NSTV ahead of his forthcoming album, No Sign of Weakness, the artist opened up about battling numerous personal challenges that could have made him give up on life and his career.

“I have had the most reasons to not exist anymore, but I have shown no sign of weakness,” Burna Boy said. “That’s what this album is saying—through everything, no sign of weakness will be shown. That is what I want everyone coming after me to do: show no sign of weakness.”
Burna Boy’s upcoming album, his eighth studio project, is titled No Sign of Weakness and is set for release on July 11, 2025. It will be released under Atlantic Records, Spaceship, and Bad Habit.
