Busted: BlackBerry Z10 tells your friends when you’re watching porn

1 Min Read

If you feel proud to own a BlackBerry Z10, then you are suggested to swallow your pride a little.

According to a report from Geek.com, The BlackBerry Messenger integration tells all your friends (BBM contacts) whenever you are watching videos on the web.

The messenger keeps a track of all you play on the Blackberry media player, and it pushes updates when a new track or video is played. But the catch is that in BlackBerry 10, videos that you stumble across while browsing the web also fire up a media player session.

This means that BBM friends can easily get to know when you click to watch some saucy videos on YouTube.

The video starts playing and your BBM updates all your friends what are you watching at the moment. Isn’t it embarrassing, especially if your family members are there in your BBM contacts?

You need not to worry as you can easily get rid of it just by disabling “what I’m listening to” in the BBM settings. But the catch here is that a new BlackBerry Z10 comes with this feature enabled – as a default setting.
