“Captain Marvel” tops U.S. Box Office for the second week

“Captain Marvel” has continued to top the United States Box Office chart for the second week running, grossing $69.2 million.

The Internet Movie Database (IMDB) said that other new releases: “Wonder Park” and “Five Feet Apart” came second and third, grossing $16 million and $13.1 million respectively.

IMDB said, “How to Train Your Dragon: Hidden World’ raked in $9.3 million while “A Madea Family Funeral’ and “No Manches Frida 2” grossed in $8 million and $3.9 million respectively.

It listed other movies that made up the top 10 to include “Captive State”, “The Lego Movie 2” and “Alita: Battle Angel” which occupied the seventh, eighth and ninth positions.

“Green Book” occupied the 10th position in the box office, grossing $1.3 million.

U.S. box office is the revenue generated by a film while in theatres.

The records are for the United States and Canada together, a market known as the North American box office and domestic box office and where gross is defined in US dollars. (NAN)
