With its standout design and new infotainment system, the 2016 Volkswagen Beetle Dune is a fun car to drive and be seen in.

The Dune possesses some unique trim and very bright exterior colors .

The rest of the Beetle’s interior confines remain the same; which means a tight rear seat, but also a wide opening hatch that reveals room for 15.4 cubic-ft. of cargo; expanding to 29.9 cubic-ft. with the seatbacks folded.

Overall, the 2016 Dune definitely stands out.

Designed to pay homage to the classic Baja Bug racers that became a pop culture icon in the 1960s, the 2016 Beetle Dune is one of the first VWs to get the new MIB II infotainment system that finally adds a USB port instead of a proprietary device connection, along with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capability.

Prices start at $23,995 in the US and at 26,990 in Canada, but it comes well equipped as standard, so prices don’t rise much higher.
