Another Nigerian Police Officer has been caught demanding bribe from a motorist. The incident which reportedly happened at the Egbeda area of the sprawling Lagos metropolis was triggered by the camouflage fatigue pants being worn by the motorist.
The Police officer upon noticing the American accent of the occupants of the vehicles demanded that he be paid a bribe in American dollars.
The motorists recorded the whole incident unknown to the greedy police officer, who was with his loaded rifle in a civilians car.
Nigerian police are said to be underpaid, under equipped and under funded. However earlier last week, several photographs of the IG of Police’s 27 year old son, Jamil Abubakar leaked. The photographs showed the son’s multi-million watch collection, fleet of luxury cars and included a photo of him in a N320 million Bugatti.
This is in contrast to the striking poverty being enjoyed by officers in the file and rank of the NPF.
