The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has said it has no plans to withdraw the redesigned N200, N500 and N1,000 notes from circulation.
Acting Director, Corporate Communications of CBN, Dr. Isa AbdulMumim disclosed this in a statement in Abuja on Sunday.
He described reports about the purported withdrawal of the new notes as “fake news”.
According to the apex bank, some unscrupulous elements are spreading the fake news to cause panic among the populace.
