Coming barely 48 hours after the Chaplain, Venerable Femi Taiwo, was evicted from his abode and sacked by the Lagos state governor, Akinwumi Ambode for disrespecting his wife, the cleric has been offered a fully furnished apartment as part of the offers he’s gotten after the development.

Recall that the sack of the spiritual leader comes after an annointing service which held on Sunday where the wife of the governor was not given special regard when members had to file out for annointing oil.

The wife of the state governor and her entourage were reported to have stormed out of the church premises and the chaplain sacked and evicted the next day from his official quarters where he lived with his wife and two children.

According to reports, the Chaplain who still has a tenure of two years to serve as the presiding chaplain of the church has fully settled down into a new and furnished accommodation provided by members of his congregation.

The Chaplain, Taiwo, told Punch that he got a total of five offers for accommodation from members of the African church congregation.

A source close to the chaplain further revealed that members of the church were dissatisfied by the order pronounced by the state governor.

“Apart from the apartment he moved to, he got four offers of apartment from different members of the African church congregation.”
