Chelsea Manager Maresca Hails Isco Ahead of Conference League Final Clash

Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca has heaped praise on Real Betis midfielder Isco ahead of their UEFA Europa Conference League final showdown on May 28.
Speaking to reporters ahead of the highly anticipated clash, Maresca described the Spanish playmaker as a “top player” and reflected on their time as teammates at Málaga CF during the early stages of Isco’s career.
“Isco is a top player,” Maresca said. “He spent many years with Real Madrid. We played together when he was really young at Málaga. We had Ruud van Nistelrooy, Santi Cazorla, Joaquín, and me.”
Isco has been a standout performer for Real Betis this season, and Maresca’s comments suggest the Chelsea boss remains wary of the threat the former Real Madrid star could pose in the final.
The Europa Conference League final will kick off at 8 p.m. as both sides seek European glory.
