Ese Oruru, the teenager who was abducted from Bayelsa, converted to Islam and married of in Kano has been found to be with child.
The disclosure is reportedly what led the Inspector General of Police, Solomon Arase, to order that she be flown from Kano to Abuja instead of plying road.
According to Vanguard, it was when she was handed over to Gender and Child Protection Unit where a team from the Medical Department of the Force carried out a comprehensive medical examination of her at the Police Medical Facility in Area 1, Garki and confirmed her pregnancy.
The alleged abductor and suspected baby daddy, Yunusa has been arrested and will be taken to Bayesa where he will face criminal charges.
Ese’s father, Mr. Oruru has said the Emir of Kano did not play any significant role in releasing his daughter until the media became involved.
