Following the arrest of a Nigerian woman identified as Mrs Omotayo, who hired an assassin, Oladapo Dolapo, to kill her husband, the children have sent out a cry for help to Nigerians.
Mrs Omotayo’s children, Barakat 17, Usman 15 and Fatimoh 12 have cried out to the Osun state government in charge of the case to temper justice with mercy in the handling of their mother’s case.
The children in the plea made to the state government and Nigerians in general noted that life has not been easy in the absence of their deceased father and mother who is currently in detention.
The plea comes after the 39-year-old Mrs Omotayo confessed to the crime of hiring the man to kill her husband. She further revealed in her confession that she had sexual intercourse with her late husband before killing him on 12th of May, 2017.
Mrs Omotayo while speaking of her late husband had described him as a good man who always took care of her needs, and that of her children.
She said while being paraded by the state’s police command: “He didn’t not offend me, I was just mad at him. I choked him with the pillow, after having sex and Dolapo stabbed him to death with knife.
“I regret my action. I didn’t know it would feel this way.”
The suspected killer and hired assassin, Oladapo Dolapo, a 24-year-old man further confessed to the crime adding that he personally stabbed the late Salawudeen while Omotayo covered his head with pillow until he died.
He revealed that the woman promised to give him whatever he requested, if the operation is successful.
The children of the detained woman however revealed during a chat with an Amiloaded correspondent that the state government and Nigerians in general to have mercy on their mother.
