Chinese Company Compensates Nigerian Man After Boss Crippled Him With Kung-Fu Kicks

A Chinese company, Bedmate Furniture Company located in Magboro area of Ogun State has reportedly compensated a staff, William Ekanem, who was some weeks ago crippled by his boss.

Recall that the news had gone viral some weeks ago after William Ekanem’s boss was reported to have crippled him with kung-fu kicks after he refused to show his boss the content of a bag containing foodstuffs he had purchased on the premises of the company.

According to report, as part of a peace offer, the boss, Master Wan and the company has offered crippled William Ekanem the sum of N3 million in compensation for the damages.

The compensation comes after Ekanem was taken to Beachland Specialist Hospital in Arepo and later admitted at the Divine Touch Hospital in Ibafo.

Punch reports that the furniture company held a meeting on Wednesday with Ekanem, his lawyer and a human rights group, during which it agreed to pay the sum of N3 million in damages.

A source said, “A cheque has been issued in Ekanem’s name. With the development, the lawyer called the ministry to call off the meeting, which would no longer be necessary.”
