The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party for Anambra South Senatorial seat, Chief Chris Uba, officially launched his campaign with a town hall meeting with the people of Ekwusigo and Nnewi North local government areas of the state on Monday.
He appealed to his teeming supporters to vote for the presidential candidate of the party in the February 16 election, Atiku Abubakar, and his running mate, Peter Obi.
Showering accolades on former governor of the state, Uba said, “Obi did well in Anambra State as a governor and he has the capacity and knowledge to make Nigeria work again.
“ I’m here to assure you that victory is for the PDP in the February elections. Nothing can stop us.”
He added that his decision to seek a seat at the Senate was to provide effective representation for his people. “I am tired of being a kingmaker. I want to be the king myself now to put smiles on the faces of the people,’ Uba added.
