The Democratic party’s candidate for the coveted position of President of the United States, Hillary Clinton has stepped up preparations for her campaign by picking a running mate in Tim Kaine.
This comes just four days before the Democratic convention where Hillary will be officially put forward as the flag bearer for the Democratic party.
“I’m thrilled to announce my running mate, @timkaine, a man who’s devoted his life to fighting for others. -H,” Clinton tweeted.
Kaine is seen as a safe option as he ticks most of the boxes to be an ideal running mate for Hillary Clinton. The politically correct senator is seen by many as boring but is seen as having invaluable experience on the foreign scene.
“Just got off the phone with Hillary. I’m honored to be her running mate. Can’t wait to hit the trail tomorrow in Miami!” tweeted Kaine.
