Nigerian comedian IGoSave has reacted strongly to the House of Representatives’ recent directive to the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) to block access to all pornographic websites across the country.
Expressing his concerns on social media, IGoSave argued that the ban would have a significant impact on many Nigerians. He also suggested that affected individuals should speak up and possibly stage a protest against the decision.
Taking to his Instagram story, the comedian wrote, “This porn site ban go affect many Nigerians o! Should we help dem protest? Cos they are true Nigerians too.”
Similarly, rapper Blaqbonez also weighed in on the matter, criticizing the move as misplaced priority. He implied that adult content serves as an escape for some Nigerians, helping them cope with difficult times.
