Comedian Shank Comics apologises, deletes skit about Jesus’ parents

Skit maker, Emmanuel Adesokan popularly known as Shank Comics has apologised and deleted a recent skit about Jesus’ parents which ticked off some fans.

Many fans had faulted Shank Comics for his depiction of Jesus’ earthly parents, Joseph and Mary in his skit titled, “If Joseph was Nigerian”, describing it as “insensitive”.

In an apology published on Twitter on Sunday, Shank said it was never his intention to disrespect God or rile the fans.

He added that he deleted the video to show his contrition.
