Nigerian comedienne, Ada Jesus has reportedly passed away after her battle with kidney disease.

Her death was confirmed on Facebook by Ebonyi lawmaker, Maria Ude Nwachi, who wrote: “JUST IN! Ada Jesus (Mercy Cynthia Ginikachukwu) has passed away. RIP”.

Ada Jesus publicly announced her struggle with kidney disease a few weeks ago. Since her announcement, the comedienne’s health kept deteriorating drastically as she could not afford treatment.

Many believed that her ailment was as a result of an allegation she made against Prophet Odumeje and Rita Edochie.

Her family eventually took her to Prophet Odumeje’s church to beg for forgiveness after accusing him of staging miracles, but the prophet vowed not to forgive her until she provides those she claimed he connived with to stage miracles.

Rita Edochie also said Ada Jesus would not recover from the ailment.

However, the veteran actress later took to social media to publicly forgive the comedienne after several pleas from the public.

Later on, Prophet Odumeje forgave the late comedienne and gifted her family N1m for her treatments.

His forgiveness came after Ada Jesus’ health began improving after a philanthropist, Marksman Chinedu Ijiomah, sent her to a good hospital and began paying for her dialysis.

Sadly, the comedienne still passed away.
