Security agents at the National Assembly couldn’t contain members of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria on Wednesday when they invaded the complex to demand the release of their leader, Sheikh Ibrahim El-Zakzaky.
The protesters, who were shouting “Allah Akbar,” overpowered the policemen to force their way into the Assembly complex.
Recall that Zakzaky is being held by the Department of State Security, while facing charges for culpable homicide, unlawful assembly, and disruption of public peace.
