The Niger State government has made some of its suggestions for discussion during the National Dialogue known. The suggestions were contained within a document presented to the Presidential Advisory Committee on National Dialogue during an interactive session with the people of the North Central zone held at Justice Idris Legbo Kutigi International Conference Centre in Minna on Wednesday.
Some of the suggestions include:
- A return to the 12 states of the Federation as created by Yakubu Gowon’s military administration;
- Membership of the proposed national conference be made up of 910 delegates , consisting of a representative of each of the 774 Local Governments in the country, 100 special delegates and 36 traditional rulers one from each of the state of the federation;
- Lagos, Rivers and Abuja all be named Federal Capital Territories
