A member of the US House of Representatives, Marjorie Greene has filed articles of impeachment against President Joe Biden, who is just one day in office.

Greene, who is a Republican from Georgia, disclosed this in a statement on Thursday.

She was one of 139 representatives who challenged the results of the 2020 US presidential election in Congress on January 7, 2021, the day after the storming of the U.S. Capitol by pro-Trump protesters.

Although she did not provide the texts stating the grounds for seeking the president’s impeachment, she indicated it was linked to abuse of power.

She noted that Biden while serving as vice president allowed his son, Hunter, to serve on the board of a Ukrainian energy company.

President Joe Biden is unfit to hold the office of the presidency. His pattern of abuse of power as President Obama’s Vice President is lengthy and disturbing. President Biden has demonstrated that he will do whatever it takes to bail out his son, Hunter, and line his family’s pockets with cash from corrupt foreign energy companies,” Greene stated.
