Coronavirus: Buhari finally breaks silence, warns against unnecessary panic

President Muhammadu Buhari has expressed sadness over the recent confirmation of coronavirus outbreak in Lagos state.

Speaking on the development, President Buhari on Sunday, March 1, warned against unnecessary panic over Covid-19 infection.

The president in a statement by his media aide, Malam Garba Shehu, in Abuja, commended the federal ministry of health and other relevant agencies and governments of Lagos and Ogun states.

He, however, urged citizens to strictly observe the advisories disseminated by the Ministry of Health, Nigeria Centre for Disease Control and the World Health Organisation (WHO) on the best way to prevent the infection.
