Coronavirus: Nigeria’s Cases Escalate To 70 -NCDC

The number of cases of coronavirus in Nigeria has escalated to 70 on Friday as NCDC confirmed 5 New Cases in the Federal Capital Territory and in Oyo State.

The NCDC disclosed this on its official Twitter handle on Friday.

 

NCDC tweeted:

“Five new cases of #COVID19 have been reported in Nigeria: Three in FCT and two in Oyo State

“As of 08:00 pm, 27th of March, there are 70 cases of confirmed #COVID19 reported Nigeria.

 

“Three have been discharged with one dead.

 

“Currently, Lagos has 44 cases; FCT- 14; Ogun – three; Ekiti – one; Oyo- three; Edo – one; Bauchi- two; Osun – one; and Rivers – one.”

Meanwhile, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Lagos State Governor, has announced that basic food supply will be made available to Lagosians during the period of partial lockdown in Lagos State.

 

Sanwo-Olu disosed this during a briefing on coronavirus on Friday which was published on the official Twitter handle of ChannelsTV.

The governor also disclosed that there is the possibility of imposing curfew in Lagos State, given the continuous rise in the numbers of infected people in the state.
