Coronavirus: Nigerian Railways to shutdown train services nationwide

Reports claim that Nigerian Railways Corporation (NRC) has planned to shut down train services across the country due to Coronavirus outbreak.

The Herald gathered that the NRC said the closure of the train services will be announced by its management today, Saturday, March 21.

Meanwhile, the federal government of Nigeria has restricted the nation’s international flights to two major airports in the country.

Muritala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos state and Nnamdi Azikwe Airport in Abuja have been approved by Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) as the only airports allowed to embark on international trips.

This decision was taken as a precautionary measure to curtail the spread of the deadly Coronavirus (COVID-19).

Dr. Osagie Ehanire, Minister of Health made the announcement while addressing newsmen. Ehanire stated that all incoming international flights will only be allowed into the two airports.
