A corps member, Gideon Bitrus Gijuwa, has been stabbed to death by unidentified hoodlums in Mararaba, a community in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

A Twitter user @KingANAD shared the tale of the corps member’s fatal stabbing on Twitter on Friday evening.

He said that Gijuwa had gone to collect a waybill on Friday when he had an encounter with “bad boys” who stabbed him.

The Twitter user said that the victim was rushed to Mararaba Medical Centre, where he was confirmed dead by doctors.

According to him, Gijuwa was among the corps members that participated in a talent hunt show held at the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) camp in Kubwa in May.

“His family are aware now. NYSC sent an ambulance to convey his corpse to his father’s house at Adamawa. If not he would have been buried yesterday,” the Twitter user tweeted.

The NYSC has not confirmed the corps member’s death.
