Corruption: Ex-Zamfara Governor, Yerima Gets N100m Bail

Former governor of Zamfara state,m Senator Ahmad Sani Yarima has been granted bail by a Federal High Court in Zamfara State led by Justice Bello Muhammad Shinkafi after he was arraigned over 19- count charge bordering on misappropriation of fund.

He was arraigned by the Independent Corrupt Practice and Related Offences Commission (ICPC) for allegedly misappropriating N1 billion when he was governor of the state.

Counsel to the accused Mahmud Abubakar Magaji (SAN) had applied for bail.

The accused was granted bail in the sum of N100 million and two sureties who must have property worth N150 million in Gusau, the state capital and one of them must be a resident within Gusau town.

However, the accused pleaded not guilty to all the charges. Meanwhile, the court has adjourned the case to 29th of February for hearing.
