Court orders Plaintiff to Serve Ize-Iyamu with Disqualification Suit

The Federal High Court has ordered the plaintiffs in a suit seeking the disqualification of All Progressives Congress (APC), Governorship candidate in Edo State, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu to serve him with the suit through substituted means.

The suit before the Federal High Court, seeks the disqualification of Ize-Iyamu as well as his running mate, Audu Ganiyu.

The court ordered the plaintiffs, Momoh Abdul-Razak and Zibiri Muhizu, both members of the APC to serve the parties involved through any means necessary, including pasting the summons on the residence of both APC candidates.

Both plaintiffs are asking the court to disqualify Ize-Iyamu and his running mate from contesting in the September 19, Governorship Election in Edo State.

The plaintiffs alleged that Audu Ganiyu falsified his personal information with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in order to be qualified for the race.

They also alleged that the credentials and certifications of Ganiyu is rife with irregularities.

The APC, INEC, Ganiyu and Ize-Iyamu are listed as the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th defendants in the suit which was adjourned till August 24.
