Court Strikes Out Charges Against Ike Ekweremadu Over Assets Declaration

According to The Nation, a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja, on Monday, struck out charges of non-declaration of assets against a former Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu

The case was instituted against him, by the defunct Special Presidential Investigation Panel for the Recovery of Public Property.

TVC reports that Justice Binta Nyako struck out the case against Mr  Ekweremadu after the prosecuting counsel Pius Akutah, told the court that the former lawyer handling the case for the panel had disappeared with the case file.
