COVID-19: NOA tasks Nigerians on Prompt Report of Suspected Cases

The National Orientation Agency (NOA) in Jigawa, has called on Nigerians to promptly report any suspected cases of Coronavirus to the appropriate authorities.

Shuaibu Haruna, the State Director of the Agency, made the call in a statement on Tuesday in Dutse.

Haruna also charged the agency’s Chief Orientation and Mobilization Officers (COMOs) in the 27 Local Government Areas of the state to be committed in their duties as members of the local government task force committees on Covid-19 of their respective areas.

He stressed that the country was in a critical moment as a result of the global pandemic, urging prompt reporting of the events.

The director also commended the Jigawa State Government for the proactive measures adopted to contain the spread of the virus in the state.

“NOA calls on all Nigerians to maintain hand washing, social distancing, stay-at-home directive and other precautionary measures as advised by ministry of health.

“Also, Nigerians are advised to promptly report all suspected cases to the appropriate authority,” he said.
