COVID-19: Numbers Rise To 25 In Lagos As Three New Cases Confirmed

The Ministry of Health in Lagos State has announced that 3 new cases of COVID-19 have been recorded in the state on Monday, March 23.

 

The cases were confirmed by the ministry via its official Twitter handle @LSMOH at about 1:30 pm on Monday.

 

The ministry said; “3 new #COVID19 cases confirmed in Lagos, two of which were UK returnees, while the third cases returned from Ukraine.

Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed the first death of  COVID-19 in Nigerian.

 

 

According to reports, the deceased who died from the deadly Coronavirus disease is a 67-year-old man who reportedly arrived the country from UK where he had undergone an undisclosed medical procedure.

 

Upon his return, he was diagnosed with COVID-19.  The 67-year-old man had underlying medical conditions- multiple myeloma, diabetes and was undergoing chemotherapy according to the Nation.
