The period includes the Muslim holiday of Eidul Adha, which would begin on July 31 and last for four days.

The curfew would be in place from 7 p.m (1500 GMT) to 6 a.m during this period, with all public places and commercial shops being shut down during these hours.

The Gulf state would also ban travel and introduce a total lockdown between provinces during that period.

A ban on gatherings, including Eid markets, prayers and celebrations, would remain in place, according to the report.

The Sultanate had recorded a total of 68,887 coronavirus infections and 337 deaths so far.
