COVID-19: Ondo First Lady, Wife of Late Health Commissioner Test Positive

The first Lady of Ondo State, Mrs. Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu has reportedly tested positive to COVID-19 days after her husband Governor Rotimi Akeredolu.

The wife of the recently deceased Commissioner of Health, Wahab Adegbenro, Mrs. Oluwatoyin Adegbenro has also tested positive for the virus.

The Health Commissioner died of COVID-19 complications on Thursday.

According to Ondo state government house sources, Mrs. Akeredolu has gone into self-isolation and has commenced treatment while Mrs. Adegbenro is also in isolation and receiving treatment at her late husband’s hospital in Akure.

Aides and lawmakers who accompanied Governor Akeredolu to Abuja to submit his re-election form have also been tested for COVID-19 but the results have not been released yet.
