Cristiano Ronaldo Misses Al-Nassr Draw Against Al-Taawoun Due to Illness – Pioli

Al-Nassr manager Stefano Pioli has revealed that team captain Cristiano Ronaldo missed Friday’s 1-1 Saudi Pro League draw against Al-Taawoun due to illness.
Ronaldo was a notable absentee at Al-Awwal Park as goals from Otávio and R. Martínez ensured both sides shared the spoils in the tightly contested fixture.

Speaking to reporters after the match, Pioli explained the Portuguese star was sidelined with a cold.
“Ronaldo is absent because he is suffering from a cold,” the Italian coach stated.
The result leaves Al-Nassr in fourth place on the Saudi Pro League table with 64 points from 32 matches. The Riyadh-based club had already been ruled out of the title race, with Al-Ittihad recently crowned champions.
Al-Nassr will return to action on Wednesday when they face Al-Khaleej as they look to finish the season on a strong note.
