The Real Madrid star was on hand to dispatch a penalty deep into stoppage time to send his team through to the semis and give them a chance to win their third Champions League trophy on the trot.

It was against familiar opposition in Juventus whom Ronaldo has had a habit of scoring against.

10 goals to be exact.

A tally which means he’s taken yet another record from Lionel Messi who used to hold the record.

Ronaldo’s 10th goal against Juventus (one of them, otherworldly) means he now holds the record of most goals scored against a specific team in the Champions League. The previous record stood at 9 goals which was held by Lionel Messi against Arsenal.

Cristiano’s goalscoring form has been sublime as his goal against Juventus was his 15th in this season’s Champions League campaign and he’s done so in just ten games.

What more he’s also reached the 15 goal mark on 3 separate occasions: in 201/14, 2015/16 and 2017/18

Ronaldo also became the first player in Champions League history to score in 11 straight matches in the competition, while his goal extending his scoring streak to 11 matches across all competitions.

The draws for the Semi-Finals will be held today with Liverpool, Real Madrid, Roma and Bayern Munich still in the hunt for Europe’s Premier trophy
