A cult member Muritala Babatunde was arrested on the suspicion of killing Oriade Adebisi aka Oh Dollar, 22, and his girlfriend, Julian Eke Imaga, 18, both students of the Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ogun State.
The 29-year-old was arrested alongside one of his accomplices, Taiwo Rasak, 18.
Babatunde while being paraded explained how and why he carried out the murder.
He claimed thaqt Oriade was a “Yahoo boy” and a member of his confraternity, he also claimed that he was giving money to a rival cult group.
Also Babatunde claimed that he and the deceased made a deal which the latter refused to honour, withholding his cut even after being repeatedly asked for it.
Babatunde was irked when the deceased told him he would not give him his cut of the deal as he didn’t also recognize him as the current Number one of the Black Axe Confraternity, Ijebu-North axis.
With evil in his heart he set to work; on the 28th of May 2018 at about 11pm, he tracked Oriade’s movement and called his gang members: Rasak Taiwo aka IKU (Death) and Sodiq, he then proceeded to kidnap Oriade and his girlfriend
They were taken to the bush along Ijebu-ode Awa/Ibadan expressway where both of them were killed.
Babatunde then the deceased’s iPhone and two pairs of shoes after which he abandoned the car at the expressway and dumping the dead bodies in a bush at the back of uncompleted building.
