Daddy Showkey Reveals How Pasuma Fed His Family for Three Years After 2007 Accident

Veteran Nigerian singer Daddy Showkey has publicly expressed deep gratitude to Fuji star Alabi Pasuma, revealing that the musician fed his family for three years during one of the darkest periods of his life.
The emotional revelation came during a recent celebrity event, where Pasuma joined Daddy Showkey on stage. In a now-viral video circulating on social media, Showkey shared that Pasuma was the only friend who stood by him after he suffered a near-fatal accident in 2007.
According to Daddy Showkey, the accident left him hospitalised for three years, during which most of his friends and colleagues abandoned him. He disclosed that Pasuma not only supported him but also took full responsibility for his family’s welfare throughout the difficult period.

“You see this man, he stood by me during bad times and good times,” Daddy Showkey said while gesturing to Pasuma on stage.
“Many people didn’t see me in public or hear me sing for years because I had an accident in 2007. I was in the hospital for three years. Pasuma was the one taking care of my family. I can never forget him in my life.”
The Ajegunle-born singer went on to describe how other colleagues shut their doors on him even after he had recovered.
“I went to the houses of some friends, and they told me they were not around even when they were inside. But Pasuma? He never turned his back on me.”
