DasukiGate: Fresh Trouble For Olisa Metuh Over $47m Shared By Ex-NSA, Dasuki

There appears to be no end in sight to the travails of National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Olisa Metuh, as he has been accused of obtaining an extra $2 million dollars from the Office of the National Security Adviser under Colonel Sambo Dasuki (rtd).

This is beside the N400 million he allegedly obtained from the ONSA for an undisclosed reason.

According to Daily Trust, an investigator of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Junaid Sa’aid told a Federal High Court in Abuja at a resumed hearing on Tuesday that Metuh might have received the $2 million from Dasuki.

During cross examination by the defence counsel led by Onyechi Ikpeazu (SAN), Sa’aid was asked if Metuh received any amount from Dasuki other than the N400 million obtained by his company Destra Investment Limited.

Sa’aid replied that Dasuki withdrew N10 billion from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and converted it to $47 million, which he went on to share at the PDP’s national convention.

He said: “My lord, the $2million given to Nneka Ararume four days later, is strongly linked to that disbursement.”
