David Mark, Rauf Aregbesola Officially Join ADC, Take Leadership Roles in Anti-Tinubu Opposition Coalition

Former Senate President, David Mark, and ex-Interior Minister, Rauf Aregbesola, have formally joined the Action Democratic Congress (ADC), emerging as key figures in a newly formed opposition coalition aimed at unseating President Bola Tinubu in 2027.
The immediate past National Chairman of the ADC officially presented membership cards to both Mark and Aregbesola during a ceremony that marked the party’s unveiling as the flagship platform of the opposition alliance.

In a strategic move to reposition the party, existing ADC leaders stepped down for the two political heavyweights. David Mark has been named Interim National Chairman, while Aregbesola assumes the position of Interim National Secretary.
“We all decided to resign so that Mark, Aregbesola and others can lead us to the Villa,” said Chief Nwosu, the outgoing chairman, underscoring the coalition’s primary goal of ensuring President Tinubu is denied a second term.
The new leadership structure is part of a broader plan by the opposition coalition to consolidate power ahead of the 2027 general elections.
