Nigerian musician, Davido has congratulated his colleague-turned-politician, Olubankole Wellington aka Banky W on his victory in the PDP primaries for Eti-Osa constituency House of Representatives ticket for the 2023 general elections.
In a tweet on Tuesday, Davido wrote, “Congrats @BankyW! You have my support! Don’t sit at home and complain get up and make a change.”

The Herald earlier reported that Banky W won the ticket in a landslide, polling 28 out of 31 votes cast by delegates at the primaries.
Banky W contested against a legal practitioner, Mr Sam Aiboni who polled three votes.
He expressed gratitude to the party for the opportunity to represent it and said that he was very thankful to the people as well.
“I am overwhelmed by the support of my constituency, the people, the ward chairmen, the leaders and the chieftains of the party.
“I feel the support even from the grassroot, honestly, I can’t be more happy than I am now,” he said.
