The Convener of Concerned Nigerians, Deji Adeyanju has pulled out of the popular Our Mumu Don Do coalition.

In a Wednesday tweet, Adeyanju said he pulled out of the coalition following alleged betrayal from his coalition partner, Charles Oputa aka Charly Boy.

Adeyanju said that Charly Boy betrayed him and their cause when he was locked up in prison for two months.

He wrote, “Dear Nigerians, I have resigned my membership of Our Mumu Don Do. I no longer have confidence in the leader of the movement, Charly Boy. He betrayed the cause while I was away in prison and compromised with the oppressors. Thank you.”

The Our Mumu Don Do coalition organised many demonstrations between 2016 and 2018, including a protest against the invasion of the National Assembly by operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS).

Adeyanju was recently granted bail by a Chief Magistrate’s Court in Kano after spending two months in prison custody.

He was arrested late last year for leading a protest to demand police neutrality in the 2019 general election.
