Denmark’s Away Goal Doesn’t Move Me – Ibrahimovic

1 Min Read

Ahead of the second leg of their double-header European Qualifiers play-off, Sweden’s captain Zlatan Ibrahimovic says he is not bothered by the away goal Denmark scored in the first leg.

The first leg played on Saturday saw Emil Forsberg and Ibrahimovic score for Sweden, while Nicolai Jorgensen pulled one back to give the visitors a life-line going into the return leg which comes up on November 17.

In an interview with TV5, Ibrahimovic said: “We won, but we were tired by the end.

“Now we have one match out of the way and we won, at home.

“It feels like we could have scored several more goals, but now the match is done.

“We won, and 2-1 is a good result.

“We left a strong effort behind and their goal doesn’t mean anything.

“Now we just have to focus fully ahead of the second match.”
