His Royal Highness Eze Ikemefuna John Akor, who is the traditional ruler of Nimbo community, has denied the allegation that two Fulani people were killed at Nimbo in December 2015.

It had been reported that the cause of the attack had been because of the wrongful killing of two Fulani men in the Nimbo area in 2015. This allegation had been made by Alhaji Ardo.

Igwe Akor did concede that his community and the Fulani herdsmen had been having little fights that were in relation to destroyed crops and cattle. he was not aware that any Fulani person was killed in the area. He said if such a thing happened then it must have been outside the border of Enugu state by other people but not his people.

He said he was unaware of any killings in the area and that if indeed such a thing had happened, then it was outside of Enugu state and by other people.

The Igwe also stated that the attack on Nimbo was now in the hands of the police.

“They should be able to give account of what happened,” he said.
