Dino Melaye’s ‘Upcoming Wedding’: Former Senator Rubbishes Claims

A certain woman, ‘Susu Dino’, recently broke news of her alleged marriage to Kogi Senator, Dino Melaye.

The said woman shared a photograph of a wedding invite scheduled for the 26th of December, 2020, at the Redeemed Christian Church of God, House of David Ogudu, 78-83 Ogudu Road, Ojota, Lagos.

The two could be seen in the photograph, locked together, all smiles.

Dino Melaye has, however, gone on his Instagram page to deny ever knowing the alleged wife-to-be.

The ex Senator who represented Kogi West in the 8th National Assembly, explained that the images were a clear case of photoshop.

”419 taken too far. General Public, I don’t know this person talk less of marriage. Even for film it can’t happen. SDM is not available ooo” he wrote on his Instagram page.

‘See photoshop ooo. How i go marry when she never pay my dowry,” the former lawmaker queried.

Dino Melaye, born on the 1st of January, 1974, is a Nigerian politician, a former Senator and was a member of the 8th National Assembly.

Dino is a member of the People’s Democratic Party who decamped to the All Progressives Congress, in 2015.

He however staged a return to the People’s Democratic Party months before the 2019 Nigerian general elections.

Dino has a decorated controversial political career.

He has a long running dispute with the Kogi state Governor, Yahaya Adoza Bello, and is a sworn enemy of the latter.

Dino was the Chairman Senate Committee on the Federal Capital Territory and the Senate Committee Chairman on Aviation in Nigeria.

He was re-elected into the 9th National Assembly on the 23rd of February, 2019 to return as senator representing kogi-West senatorial district.

Things got awry for Dino as his main challenger in the election, Sen Smart Adeyemi of the APC, approached the Election Petitions Tribunal praying the tribunal to annul Melaye’s election.

On the 23rd of August 2019, the tribunal sacked Melaye and ordered a re-run election.

Senator Dino lost the re-run election marginally.
