Disney Classic “Aladdin” debuts as No 1 at US box office

Disney Classic, “Aladdin” debuted at  the United States; Box Office, grossing $86.1 million.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the movie is a remake of the Disney Classic which was a box office hit in 1992.

The Internet Movie Database (IMDB) said that “John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum, which was number one last week, came  second  by raking in $24.3 million.

IMDB said “Avengers: Endgame” and “Pokémon Detective Pikachi” came  third and fourth, grossing $16.8 million and $13.3 million, respectively.

“Brightburn” raked in $7.5 million while “Booksmart” and “A Dig’s Journey” grossed in $6.5million and $4.1 million, respectively.

It listed other movies that made up the top 10 to include “The Hustle”, “The Intruder” and “Long Shot” which occupied the eighth, ninth and tenth positions.

U.S. box office is the revenue generated by a film while in theatres.

The records are for the United States and Canada together, a market known as the North American box office and domestic box office and where revenues realised  is calculated in US dollars. (NAN)
