Immediate-past Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Yakubu Dogara has defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The move comes barely two years after Dogara, a member of the 9th House of Reps from Bauchi State, quit the APC for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Chairman of the Caretaker Committee of the party and Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni, disclosed this on Friday, while addressing State House correspondents.

Buni had led Dogara to meet President Muhammadu Buhari and made the announcement shortly after emerging from the meeting.

The former speaker has yet to speak on the move, promising to address journalists at a later time.
