Donald Trump Junior’s girlfriend, Kimberly Guilfoyle has tested positive for COVID-19 according to U.S. media.
It was reported that Guilfoyle, a former Fox News presenter had travelled to South Dakota to see Donald Trump’s July 4th speech and fireworks display at Mount Rushmore and was made to undergo a routine test administered to everyone who comes close to the U.S. President.
The 51 year old was isolated and kept away from the Trump family immediately she was diagnosed.
Reacting to the incident in a statement, Sergio Gor, the chief of staff to the Trump campaign finance committee said Guilfoyle is doing well and will be retested to ensure that the diagnosis is correct since she is asymptomatic.
“As a precaution (she) will cancel all upcoming events. Donald Trump Jr was tested negative, but as a precaution is also self-isolating and is cancelling all public events,” he said further.
The former Fox News media personality is the third person around the U.S. President to contract the virus asides from his personal valet and the press secretary to Vice President, Mike Pence.
