Popular Nollywood actress, Kate Henshaw has berated comic act, Ime Bishop Umoh aka Okon Lagos for slut-shaming some women allegedly molested by the police during a raid on night clubs in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.

The police had described the arrested women as prostitutes.

Reacting to the development, Okon shared two videos in which he expressed doubts on the possibility of raping a sex worker, joking that the affected policemen should instead be accused of stealing.

He also condemned those who accused the policemen of taking away the self-pride and dignity of the alleged sex workers, saying that commercial sex workers lack both.

However, Henshaw said Okon’s joke about the incident was in bad taste and disrespectful to victims.

Taking to her verified Twitter handle, Henshaw wrote: “Don’t joke about RAPE, its NOT funny.

“You cower the victim into silence because you make light of their ordeal and you empower the perpetrators because they believe it’s not that serious…

“Use your platform to build up and not tear down.

“Try and be human at the very least!!”
