It has emerged that the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adams Oshiomhole, endured nine hours of gruelling interrogation by the Department of State Services (DSS) over the recent APC primaries across the nation.

According to TheCable quoting some unnamed sources, Oshiomhole was in DSS custody for most part of Sunday, November 4, where he was accused of receiving bribes to come up with pre-determined outcomes in the contentious primaries.

He was reportedly asked to resign over the controversies generated by the primaries in many states.

However, Oshiomhole reportedly rejected the DSS’s pressure to resign, saying he would only do so if he loses the support of President Muhammadu Buhari.

Oshiomhole also reportedly told the DSS operatives that the president was aware of his every action in relation to the primaries.

“Adams Oshiomhole was arrested by the DSS, they didn’t show him any petition. It was alleged by some governors that he collected bribe during the primaries.

“He was told to resign and he told DSS operatives that he will resign if he loses the confidence of the president. He said everything the party did, he (Buhari) was in the know,” a source was quoted as saying by TheCable.

Oshiomhole was said to have informed President Buhari about his ordeal with the DSS.

“On Monday night Oshiomhole met with the president and briefed him on what happened and the president was shocked. The president said he did not know about it and promised to look into it,” the paper quoted another source as saying.
