Lionel Messi, the Barcelona and Argentine legend has revealed why he shocked the world and dyed his hair blonde.
He admitted that it had come at a difficult time in his life especially with the Copa America defeat to Chile which was their third defeat in a final in the span of just 2 short years.
“One particularly tough day I dyed my hair, I had to start again from scratch. I said to myself, ‘I have to make a clean break and start over”, he explained during an interview with cult Argentine comedy figure ‘Mingo’ onTelefe’s ‘Polemica en el bar’.
He also revealed that his son Thiago might not become a footballer as he has shown no interest in the game so far.
“I try not to give Thiago balls as presents, he doesn’t like football much,” he said.
“We’ll see if he gets into it now as he’s started playing in a club.”
