Former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Ebonyi State, Dr. Ifeanyi Chukwuma Odii, has urged Nigerians to embrace peace, unity, and renewed hope as they celebrate the Easter season.
In a heartfelt Easter message on Sunday, Odii emphasized the symbolic importance of the season, encouraging citizens to remain resilient in the face of national challenges. He described Easter as a time of grace, sacrifice, and renewal, reminding Nigerians that “through pain, there is purpose; through sacrifice, there is salvation; and through faith, there is always victory.”
“As we celebrate the sacred season of Easter, I extend my deepest wishes to every family, every community, and every soul across our great state,” Odii stated. “This season reminds us that God is doing a new thing in our lives, as reflected in Isaiah 43:19.”
The businessman and philanthropist commended Nigerians for their resilience, describing them as “ingenious and active citizens” who are determined to overcome adversity.
“My desire is for a state where our potential is not just promised but fulfilled — where every citizen can rise with dignity, live with purpose, and thrive in peace,” he added.
He concluded his message by praying that the power of the resurrection would inspire courage, unity, and collective progress across the country.
Odii contested the 2023 governorship election under the PDP platform and has remained a vocal advocate for good governance and socioeconomic development in Ebonyi State and beyond.
