As Christians across Nigeria commemorate Easter, Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has called on residents to embrace the season’s values of sacrifice, hope, and unity while praying for continued peace and development in the state.

The governor made the call in an Easter message shared via his verified Facebook page on Friday, urging citizens to reflect on the significance of the season and its relevance to the challenges currently facing the state and the nation.

“As we celebrate Easter, a season of sacrifice, renewal, hope, and joy, I extend my warmest greetings to you and your loved ones,” Sani wrote. “In the face of challenges confronting us as a state and nation at large, Easter reminds us that darkness is temporary, and light will ultimately prevail.”

Governor Sani highlighted the symbolism of Christ’s sacrifice, describing it as a lesson in selflessness and service to others. He pledged that his administration would continue to prioritize the welfare of the people, ensuring that all government policies and programs are rooted in compassion and inclusivity.

“This season calls us to embrace the core Christian values of love, sacrifice, and forgiveness. As we draw inspiration from these ideals, let us work hand in hand to build a more harmonious, peaceful, and inclusive society,” the governor said.

Reiterating his commitment to equitable development, Sani assured residents that infrastructure, healthcare, education, and economic opportunities would be extended to all communities across the state, regardless of religious or ethnic background.

“From the highlands of Zangon Kataf to the plains of Birnin Gwari, from Kaduna metropolis to the boundaries of Jema’a, our commitment is unwavering,” he stated.

The governor also urged citizens to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, especially amid ongoing national reforms. He described Tinubu as the “driver of the Renewed Hope Agenda,” and called for prayers for the President as he leads Nigeria through socio-economic and political restructuring.

“May Almighty God strengthen him as he consolidates his bold and courageous economic reforms aimed at resetting Nigeria and putting it on the path to sustainable growth, development, and shared prosperity,” he added.

Sani appealed to individuals, religious organizations, and community leaders to extend acts of kindness to the vulnerable and underserved during the Easter period. He emphasized that the collective strength of Kaduna State lies in its unity and diversity.

“As we rejoice this Easter, let our unity be our anthem and our diversity our strength. May the blessings of peace, progress, and sustainable development abound in our dear state, Kaduna, and our nation, Nigeria,” the statement concluded.

Governor Sani wished all residents a happy, peaceful, and safe Easter celebration.
